Customer Review: Absolutely Craptastic product

I never thought I's waste my time writing a review of a $15 paper towel holder, but this product is so poorly conceived and constructed, I need to vent. For starters, as others have mentioned, it's extremely flimsy. The screw from the base to the upright post needs to be re-tightened every time you change the roll. The main reason for that is the incredibly stupid engineering involved in the the "ball" at the top of the post. This thing needs to be unscrewed and screwed back in every time you change a roll. Unfortunately, they put a 2" screw on the bottom of the ball that needs to be screwed into a VERY tight plastic female receptor in the top of the post. Anyone with below average hand and forearm strength (the elderly, for instance) are unlikely to get the ball off and back on. And even when you do, it's difficult to get it to sit straight on the post. All in all, this piece of garbage is WAY too much work for a freaking paper towel holder. I'm chalking it up as a $15 lesson in the risks of buying products sight unseen on the Internet, even from a supposedly reliable vendor like Amazon.
