I'm using cleat flooring nails and found this tool completely worthless for setting them into hard maple. The tip is basically equivalent to a slot screwdriver, so it slipped right off of the nail head when aligned. It does what its supposed to do. If you drive L-shaped nails when installing hardwood flooring, and the nail doesnt drive all the way in, this is the tool to use. Better than a typical nail set. Has a wider tip for the wider nail head. Good product, worth the extra few bucks.Customer Review: Works great!!!!!!

This tool works perfectly for setting Bostitch L-nails in oak flooring. Does not slip off the head of the nail when hit squarely. Saves me the trouble of removing a half driven nail when I fail to hit the pneumatic nail gun hard enough. Definitely worth the money spent.Customer Review: Slides off nail head in use.

Rectangle shaped tip slides off nail head in use. Easy to misalign and bend nail.
I found regular finishing nail punch applied in nails vertical line worked better.
This one needs ridges on outside edge of long tip to keep punch on nail head.

This is a must for laying hardwood floor with a Porta-Nailer nailes to make sure the occasional nail that doesn't go in all the way it sets the nail in just like the driver does so it can be fill in with wood putty if it is a face nail application.
