I used this stapler to install 350 sq ft of 3/8" hardwood flooring from BellaWood. Had no problems whatsoever. No jams, no misses. I used 1/4" x 1" narrow crown staples although it will accept up to 1 1/4" staples. The shoe makes sure you are perfectly aligned to staple the tongue only at the correct angle. Requires a compressor capable of maintaining 70psi, which even very small compressors should be capable of.Customer Review: good product

Great tool of 3/8 product need to shim footing for over 3/8 this is the adjustment you need to make but still works fine, did have an issue with some misfires so took a tie rap and put it around the safety which makes the tool quicker but be careful will fire upon trigger squeeze but speeds up the process without any misfires this also helps when you convert to stapler. Just finished 3000 feet still going strong.Customer Review: Fabulous tool!

You do the math...three or four day rental approaching $100! With at least two floors to do over the next 6 months the Porta-Nailer seemed like the way to go. This tool works like a charm! Once I had a lengthy discussion with Customer Service as to how the boot is attached, I was ready to go! Not even one minor problem. The finished floor looks like a million bucks! I purchased this stapler to use while installing our 5/16ths solid wood flooring. Because this flooring is thinner than traditional hardwoods, it required the use of such a stapler. This stapler worked really well and I was very happy with the quality of this tool. Since it comes with a removeable shoe, I can use it for other projects even after my flooring is installed. I Just finished installing 550 sq. ft. of 3/8" engineered "Peruvian Walnut" flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The Porta-Nailer 461 was the backbone to the job, and I was extreamly happy with the finnished product and the ease of installation with this stapler. I used 1 1/4" galvanized staples purchased from Lowes. You will not be sorry with your decision to buy this {The right Tool for the Job}.
