Tools and Hardware Reviews of Porta-Nailer 461 1-Inch 18-Gauge Narrow (1/4-Inch) Crown Flooring StaplerCustomer Review: Best tool ever I have ever purchased Summary: 5 Stars
I installed 2000 SF of engineered oak flooring with this tool. Weekends, and some evening and never had one jam, misfire, or bent staple. I stapled as fast as I could pull the trigger. Worked like a charm, and was well worth the money. I used it a couple of times as a regular stapler as well and that was also flawless. I would completely recommend it to anyone consider an engineered floor.
Customer Review: lay floors fast Summary: 5 Stars
Before buying this floor stapler, we were using a manual stapler for hard wood floors. This made the job must easier and more pleasant. The Porta-Nailer is well built and comes with a carrying case and an interchangeable piece to turn the stapler into a point and shoot stapler.
Note that this stapler is only useful for thinner engineered wood floors.
Customer Review: Porta Nailer 461 Summary: 5 Stars
Did a bit of a research before I decided to purchase this stapler. I got stuck installing 3/8 Brazilian Walnut hardwood floor. Considering that this is one of the hardest wooden floors around, I was a little worried that it wouldn't work, but, it works great! Had to bump up PSI to about 85, but like I said, no issues with it.
Customer Review: Great Stapler Summary: 5 Stars
Installed 760 square feet of BR-111 engineered wood, worked flawlessly. Also includes a case. Will accept up to 1-1/4" staples which many flooring staplers in this class do not; BR-111 for example, specifies the use of 1-1/4" staples. Very nice tool.
Customer Review: Porta-Nailer 461 a champ! Summary: 5 Stars
i used it to install 1/2 inch bamboo stranded woven flooring. it worked great once u adjust the pressure to get the right depth to the staple. i'd recommend it for stapling any narrow thickness flooring
