Customer Review: Worst Quality Control on reconditioned product EVER!

10-6-09. Still do not have a working product. Contacted poulan again, still no replacement parts. I purchased this on 6-26. I have wasted many hours on this. I am contacting the BBB and my credit card company to see if I can get this billed back. Amazon is no help.
They are a discount retailer to the extreme.
FINAL UPDATE(HOPEFULLY) I did 4 cuts, and chain flew off after I got back from the shop. Would not seat back because of the bar that was pinched when I received it. Called Poulan. They are sending new cover, and begrudginly, a new bar. Maybe it will work. I have had it over 30 days, and have got 5 minutes of use, and 6 hours of frustration. Amazon was no help, and now I am having another problem with products that were supposed to be new, but were obviously returned. I purchased three batteries for my three handset telephone, and two of the batteries were repackaged after I guess a customer return. About to loose my business.
Worst recondition product I ever purchased. My guess is a shop vac was used to clean item, bar taken off, chain put in plastic heat sealed, and that was it. Chain is heat scored on guide teeth and is used and not factory sharp. Bar is pinched almost closed in one area, was able to straighten that out. However, chain tensioner is stripped out, and the plastic inside is all chewed up, all the way thru in one place. The box was oil and gas stained, and the chain saw still had a couple of petroleum soaked wood chips on the outside. As I put it in my lap, oil and gas mix poured on my leg that was still in the chainsaw I guess from the last user. I called Poulan, but they are already closed. Reconditioned to me means restored to "new" condition with cosmetic blemishes. This saw was rode hard, and put up wet. Not good. I would put my stars in the negative if possible. I will follow up with a post on how Poulan took care of this mess.

FOLLOW UP: AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF TRYING TO GET HOLD OF SOMEONE AT THE NUMBER IN THE BOOK, IT IS AN OUTSIDE COMPANY. THEY TOLD ME TO GO BACK TO AMAZON. I INFORMED THEM THAT AMAZON DOES NOT HANDLE THIS. AFTER 20 MINUTES BACK AND FORTH, I WAS GIVEN A CORRECT NUMBER. THAT NUMBER IS 1-800-490-9573. APRIL REFERED ME TO A REPAIR CENTER ABOUT 40 MINUTES AWAY, SO I REALLY DID NOT SAVE MONEY BUYING REFURBISHED. MY RECOMENDATION IS BUY NEW. I THINK THE PROBLEM IS THE COMPANY DOING THE RECONDITIONING, NOT POULAN.
2nd Update: July 21st. I still have not got to use this item. The authorized dealer that I took it to is still waiting for parts. His exact words "Piece of junk." "They put a long bar on a underpowered and lightweight motor." "I'd get my money back." When I said that was not possible, He said "We will shoot for the moon, maybe we will get lucky."
