Customer Review: Best dimmable CFL I've bought so far

After wasting hundreds of dollars buying brand-name and non-brand name CFLs at the likes of Menards and Home Depot I came across these bulbs on Amazon and finally ordered some. My issues with CFLs in general are: 1) take a long time to light up; 2) color is too white; 3) dimmable performance; 4) cost.
These Purespectrum bulbs are the best I've bought so far. What I like about them is that they are truly "instant-on" and give off a lot of light. I have them in recessed cans, replacing some 60W incandescent bulbs, and these are a fair amount brighter given they are rated at 75W equivalent. The color still does not match an incandescent bulb even though it is rated 2700K. This is a problem for nearly all CFL bulbs I have bought. I'm starting to get used to it.
The dimmable performance is much better than other bulbs I have bought but not nearly as good as a regular incandescent. The good thing is that you can dim up and down without the herky-jerky ups and downs of light output as I've had with other bulbs. However, when dimmed all the way down, I'd say these bulbs are still at 20% brightness which is not quite low enough for "mood lighting". Again, this is an issue with all CFLs and not these bulbs in particular, but it's still a nuisance.
Overall, if you're willing to make the investment (and it is a big investment) to swap out your incandescents for CFLs, these bulbs are the best I've found and their cost is in-line with most other CFL bulbs even worth a try. I'm using these bulbs in dimmable and non-dimmable situations.
