when we tighten up our houses in alaska we need to know if we've created a humidity problem. after a few days with a couple of these very inexpensive devices, i know where i need to add exhaust fans and where i don't. i installed dehumidistat switches on the bathroom fans to go on whenever it's over 40% r.h. the dehumidistats agree with these little babies almost exactly. for the money, they are awesome. i'm getting them for christmas presents.Customer Review: Perfect Little Gadget

We bought this with a calibration bag so that we could be sure to keep our basement under 50% humidity. After calibration, it was only off by 2%, which I think is fairly impressive. It has an adjustment screw on the back and we simply gave it a tiny turn and it was dead on. It's way more accurate than the built in hydrometer in the dehumidifier! I think it's a great price for a great little gadget (that helps save our house from mold).Customer Review: Perfect

Cheap, accurate, good design. Mine was a few percent off but that is to be expected, it is now completely accurate because I calibrated it. One if it's features is it has a manual calibration screw on the back. If you don't know how to calibrate a hygrometer just type "calibrate hygrometer" into a search engine. It is easy and requires no special equipment. The only tool is a small flat head screwdriver.Customer Review: nothing wrong!

i just purchased this item. it works perfect and it has a screw in the back that you can calibrate it anytime.
it is lightweight and its size is a bit smaller than a typical baseball (in diameter of course).
the letters are easy to read and it comes with a sticker-magnet.
it helped me to track and maintain the relative humidity in my apt among comfort zone (30-50%).

I added this hygrometer to a cigar box to serve as a humidor. The biggest surprise to me was the quality, accuracy (I have an indoor outdoor thermometer with a hygrometer that I compared it to) and how nice it looks. Comes with a magnet which has adhesive on one side. Stick the adhesive to whatever you want and then the hygrometer stays in place with the magnet. Would purchase again.
