Tools and Hardware Reviews of Analog Hygrometer 2.25" by Western Humidors

Customer Review: Dead on accuracy
Summary: 5 Stars

I have received this hygrometer and tested it yesterday using the salt in a sealed container method. You can research how to do this online.
I checked it after 12 and 24 hours and the needle was dead on 75% humidity as it should be.
Very accurate and very inexpensive. My only regret is that I only purchased one.

Customer Review: Simple, effective and well made.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a nice gauge. It's small, about 2 1/4" wide. It feels well made and works great. I did calibrate it using the baggie method with salt. Search Google with "calibrate humidity gauge". It may not even need it, so compare with another gauge if you have one. I use it in the basement to monitor the humidity level.

Customer Review: Very basic
Summary: 3 Stars

Just got this today. Didnt realize from the picture how tiny this thing was. Not much bigger than a silver dollar. In order to read this you have to be pretty close. Bought it to use in the basement. Better suited to a humidor. Adding the size of this in the description would have been nice. Not a great bargain IMO.

Customer Review: Good Value
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought two of these to check the humidity of my musical instruments. I calibrated them in a humidity test pack; One of them needed minor adjustment. Both seemed to be more accurtate in the higher range. Minor variations in the lower range. Differences in reading not more than 2%. A good value for the money.

Customer Review: inaccurate - don't waste your money
Summary: 1 Stars

This is a piece of junk. I thought it was off but when I was able to finally test it against a couple of digital units it is always off by about 10 points. There is of course no way to calibrate it. And since it's past 14 days I wont even try to get my money back. Poor product, poor company.
