Well, I should have gone with my gut and listened to the reviews. I really wanted to purchase this item because of it's appearance; it was the only hanging basket I found with round baskets. Alas, this item is built cheaply and broke as soon as I pulled it out of the package.
The entire product is constructed of a wire that feels like plastic. The baskets are nice but the chain is weak and the clips that secure the baskets to the chain feel like thin plastic. When I removed the item from the package one of the clips was unfastened from the chain. I pinched the clip (the way it's designed to be used) and it broke, immediately! I didn't feel like going through the hassle of returning the item so I repaired it with an s-hook, which seems to be doing the trick (but is not the same color). It looks nice and, so far, is holding up well with produce in it, but I don't see this product holding up to more that 3-4 pounds, depending on how it's secured at the top.
In retrospect, I wish I had not spent the $20-or-so bucks on this item. If I had to place value on it I would not pay more than $11 for it.....of course something broken really is not worth the hassle, at all.
