Tools and Hardware Reviews of Palm-Size Handheld Digital Multimeter - DT830BCustomer Review: It Works OK Summary: 3 Stars
This is not a Fluke nor is it even a Radio Shack, but the price is right and as an occasional household tool the DT830 works well enough. However If you are an electronic hobbyist this meter will probably not meet your needs. The Ohm-meter function works poorly in it's lower ranges and the diode check has no feedback tone. I could go on about its crude finish, but it's still a bargain if you need something cheap and expendable.
Customer Review: Great with this price Summary: 5 Stars
A good multimeter. It works perfectly fine as a multimeter itself. I bought it just for household usage, such as checking batteries, electric wires, outlets, and so forth, and it is fuctioning for that purpose. I don't expect more than that from this cheap one. If your expectation is about those ranges, get this one. I researched multimeters a little bit and it was the cheapest I found in July 2008, only when delivery is free.
Customer Review: You get what you pay for Summary: 1 Stars
I only needed an inexpensive pocket meter to keep on the jobsite to check for live wires during reconstruction. This one looked right so I bought it.[...]. It worked fine...but only once! After that first reading, it would never again read voltage. If a circuit was live, the numbers jumped all around so I knew there was voltage but it will not lock on to 120 or 220 or anything else for that matter.
IMHO...JUNK
Customer Review: Great product, great price! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this multimeter for my son's science fair project. I just needed a simple voltmeter and I didn't want to spend too much! This fit the bill perfectly. It is straightforward and very easy to use. It worked great for his experiment and will come in handy around the house. Fast shipping and a great price made this multimeter the perfect solution for our needs.
Customer Review: Newer version works fine MM2003 Summary: 5 Stars
As mentioned in the review by "Dennis" I got the newer MM2003 model number
Everything seems to be working fine, beeps for continuity works, can't comment on the accuracy of readings though as I use it for very general things (making cables)
Also comes with a battery inside
For the price, I'd rate this 5 stars.
