I suffer severe allergies every spring, and it makes me feel miserable and irritable. Previously, my husband and I had purchased the Oreck air purifiers which were ineffective in helping reduce the allergens in the air in our house, and in fact turned out to be the worst air purifiers we ever bought [we had used the Honeywell many years ago which performed a lot better but had become worn from frequent use].
So, after doing some research, we decided to purchase the Rabbit Air BioGS Model 421A. In just a few days after using it, I noticed that I wasn't sneezing anymore, and the air just felt a lot better [prior to using this purifier, I felt the air quality was kind of stuffy and even stale]. The results are very noticeable, and I can tell that I'm sleeping a lot better [I used to have sneezing fits previously] and breathing a lot easier.
The benefits [besides those stated above]:
- the charcoal filters are washable [and these filters are supposed to remove odor in the air]
- the HEPA filter has an anitbacterial coat on it that prolongs use
- there are odor and particle sensors that function well
The drawbacks that I noticed is that this unit can only be turned on and off with a remote [so one will have to place the remote somewhere safe, cos' you can't afford to lose it! And it's a tiny little remote too]. The unit itself is not exactly tiny, but the dimensions are clearly stated on this site so we knew what we were getting. It's visible wherever you place it [unless you place it behind a piece of furniture or something], but what I love about this unit, besides it's effectiveness is that it's lightweight and portable [there's a little handle on the back for carrying it around], and so I can move it from room to room with ease.
Conclusion - if you suffer allergies like I do, or your home is dust-prone [even with frequent dusting and cleaning], then this Rabbit Air BioGS air purifier may be what you need. I certainly find my quality of life has improved immensely since using it!

I have spent money on air purifier's over the years. That does not include time spent researching product specifics. I decided to go big on this one and it was money well spent. When I first got this I set it up in less than 5 minutes and hit start. Red light! I though it was broken but then I realized it was red lighting the air in the room After a few minutes it became a green light and peace was in the air. This thing cracks me up at how it really does what it is supposed to. How often does a product actually exceed expectations? Change the babies stinky diaper within 5 feet of it and the red light for odor kicks in and there it goes. The dog comes into the living room and lays down with a plump and the red light for particulate kicks in. A friend who is a smoker came to visit, not smoking in the house of course, but when he sat in the chair by the air filter the light started creeping up to orange and I knew he was one polluted dude. The list goes on and on. I have to rate running the vacuum as my all time favorite though. I watch the lights to see if a circumstance will kick it into high gear.
It is really disheartening to see how the air quality fluctuates in my home. The flip side is we have a weapon now and all feel better for it. I want one for all my living spaces. I wish the company made one for a car. I think what sold me was the reviews and the fact it has a nano silver filter. I am a nurse in wound care and nano particle silver is the magic bullet for infected chronic wounds so it must work in an air filter. For all the people who talk about noise I can't see it. The noise is a quiet wisp and a little more for turbo. The noise is FRESH, clean air and that is a beautiful sound.

I recently bought this unit because I moved to a new apartment and my neighbor is a smoker. I get the smell of cigarette smoke in my apartment quite often and it makes me feel sick and gives me a headache. The best solution would be to ask my neighbor not to smoke inside his unit, but I can't do that. I also get weird food smells from some international cooking that takes place downstairs, and they can be really strong and unpleasant. The unit does not prevent the smoke from entering my apartment, but it does take care of the smell quickly. Also, I have not noticed any of the odor from the cooking. The activated carbon filter is undoubtedly responsible for the clean up of the odors (maybe the hepa filter helps with smoke particulates some too). The only problem I have come across is that the chemical "nose" that detects odors for automatic fan setting is not effective at low fan speeds. That is, it does not move enough air past the sensor to detect some chemicals in the air when the fan is at the lowest speed. When I turn on the "turbo" mode, often the chemical sensor then picks up the smells and runs the auto feature from there. It cleans up the smells and then returns to the low fan setting in which it is not effective at picking up the odors again. However, any time I get bothered, I just turn on the turbo and let it clean up. If my neighbor decides to go "chimney" for a little while, I just put the fan on medium continuously and it doesn't bother me much. Other than the failure of the chemical sniffer at low fan speeds, this unit works wonderfully! If only I could use my remote to put out my neighbors cigarettes.Customer Review: You're making the bunny mad

First I would just like to say that I love my Rabbit. On to my review. My Doctor recommended an air purifier so I started looking for one. I was looking around found a HoneyWell air purifier with great reviews but it was just plain ugly (donut shape 90's beige PC color) I couldn't picture that thing in my house let alone in my room where I would see it every night. So I started looking for a more visually appealing one which led me to Rabbit airs top of the line model which goes for $500 ouch. so I settled for this one In a pearl white.
Overall I would buy another one. My room has virtually no dust anymore It smells cleaner even on those hot days where there isn't any air circulating. My allergies improved over night. I do run it 24/7 at night the noise is almost silent and I'm one of those light sleepers that gets annoyed very easy by sounds. At its loudest it just sounds like the ac/heater is running. I also love the Auto settings the rabbit detects bad smells/ particles in the air. My dog loves to lay near the foot of the bed near the Rabbit sometimes while he lays there he farts and the Bunny gets mad it goes on full blast or he might shake and fur goes flying into the air which again he makes the bunny mad. So I tell him Stop making the bunny mad Crease lol.
The only problem that I have with this rabbit air is that the Led panel does not dim its too bright for me at night.
One last thing online the pearl white looks very white almost like my Macbook. After receiving it the pearl white has more yellow in it than I thought it did after looking at pictures online.

We researched and researched for over a year. Stores, catalogs, websites. We read every article we could find on air purification and safety, and finally decided on the Rabbit Air BioGS 421A.
We have a smoker in the house and two cats with two litter boxes. We wanted something that was powerful enough to clean the odors, yet quiet enough to not be noticed. We found everything we needed in this model.
We bought ours in January and loved it so much, we purchased a second one for the rear of the house.
It comes in different colored covers, (you can purchase these individually anytime to change the look), so you can match your decor.
We leave ours on the Auto setting and the sound is undetectable, but let it get a whiff of anything and it jumps into action. The lights are great to let you know what's going on, and even at its highest fan speed, it's still quieter than other models we looked at.
Their customer service is the best imaginable! Our first model arrived with a remote that didn't function properly. NO PROBLEM, they sent another immediately with a per-paid postage label to return the original remote.
When you call them, you get an actual people who are more than willing to answer your questions and address your concerns. They make you feel as if you the most important customer they have.
We are so happy with this product we are going to get one for each of our son's homes.
Great product, reasonable price, does exactly what it says it will do with a five year warranty!
