I used this GF kit on the exterior of a town home to replace an improperly installed outlet whose insides had rusted. After being installed in early December and being used throughout a wet month for holiday lights, it never tripped. It was mounted so the outlet was horizontal and the door opened up. The outlet had an LED which indicated if the circuit needed to be reset or not. I thought it was a nice visual which might be even more helpful if you have multiple GFI outlets, and you're trying to quickly determine which one tripped without feeling the test/reset buttons. Of course if you have bigger plug, you might not see the LED and have to feel the test/reset buttons anyway.
