Received the rack with all parts and directions enclosed. Directions were adequate but used the diagram more than the written directions. Tools were supplied (small wrench and allen wrench). Parts did fit together but not well. Small screws needed allen wrench. If they had used Phillips screws instead it would have been easier to assemble. The base did not sit level. If they used a different style of end cap it could eliminate this problem. It did handle my hybrid and racing bike very well. For the price it is very functional. Would have given it five stars except for the fitting together of the parts and for a level base.Customer Review: This is JUNK!!!

This is a very poorly designed product. Received it today. It must have been designed and machined by drunk chimpanzees. Main issues: 1)the parts do not fit together cleanly 2) it is obviously designed for small childrens' BMX type bikes, not adult bikes with full sized wheels 3) if you do store 2 adult road bikes you have to interlace the handlebars, necessitating removal of both bikes to ride one 4) adult mountain bikes ae out of the question unless you use the back to back set up option which doubles the length of the space required (think, amount of space that you would normally store your SUV in) .Customer Review: Solid Bike Stand

Setup: While not overly complicated,I had trouble envisioning how the curved bars were supposed to attach. It required unscrewing part of it once I realized my mistake. Even with that goof-up, it took 15 minutes to install.
Use: Couldn't be simplier...when you push the tire of the bike into the stand, the bike is secure. I've had no problems with the bike twisting (like you might think) and the spacing is adequate for two mountain bikes to be side by side without banging into each other.
Overall: Solid, well built. I can't imagine anyone having complaints about such a simple product.

This bike rack is solidly made and I am able to store our two adult bikes in it with no problem. The rubber end "feet" do have a slightly peculiar smell, but could easily be removed if you wanted to use this indoors. I dont fully understand the comments about taking up a lot of space - bikes do anyway, and if you want them standing apart then they will take up even more space, so that is to be expected.
My only criticism is that the instructions could have been a little clearer, although it wasnt difficult to assemble.
Overall an excellent purchase for the price.

I had the same issue as another reviewer - the same "U" brackets (i.e. two "left" brackets) - I called the company - this is intentional (probably to save money). You will need to use two longer screws for one of the "U"s and two of the shorter ones for the "U" with the recessed holes (none of this makes sense now - but it will when you put it together). But it will fit together. Once done - it works great - holds my Specialized Rockhopper very firmly - and looks good (second bike - no problem). For the money (29.99 at amazon plus free shipping) - was best price around.
