Tools and Hardware Reviews of Racor PBS-2R Two-Bike Floor Bike StandCustomer Review: Great Bike Stand Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased two of these bike stands to house four bikes. They work great. My son's bike is a little smaller so we turned the stand around so the wheel fits in better. We previously had our bikes hanging on hooks in the garage and it was extremely difficult to get them up and down every time we wanted to ride. The bike stands are easy, convenient and our bikes are always accessible, which makes us ride them more! The only negative is that the stands do not stay in place when you roll your bike in and out, but they are still well made and sturdy. I would definitely recommend.
Customer Review: good product but assembly problem Summary: 4 Stars
I read the other reviews about things not fitting together but figured they were just the exceptions. We'll I guess I'm an exception too. I had one part that was slightly off from the other ones so the bolt included couldn't connect it to the base. I ended up going to the hardware store and buying a longer bolt (they're metric if you have to do it). No big deal but an inconvenience. But once together, the product is great. Very stable and is great for holding up the bikes and not scratching my walls. I'd buy it again even knowing I'd have to go to the hardware store.
Customer Review: sturdy and easy to use Summary: 4 Stars
This is a neat little stand. I recieved mine without the nuts and bolts, the box appeared to have been opened and taped back up. I called the manufacturer for parts and had them in two days. Assembly was a just little tricky. I learned you must leave all the screws very loose until assembled in order for all the pieces to go together properly, this makes it a little cumbersome. It helps to assemble on a table. It took me 20 minutes to put together. We use this in the garage and the pickup for the kids bikes. It makes life a little less messy and worth the price.
Customer Review: Simple yet effective Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this bike rack a couple of months ago. It took about 5-10 minutes to put together. The key is not to tighten all of the bolts until all pieces are in place, which will allow for a little 'play'. Then you can tighten each bolt.
I use this bike rack for two road bikes, one 58cm in size, the other is 53cm in size...basically two adult bikes. One bike is places front in first and the other back in. They fit together perfectly and will not fall over, even after bumping the rack.
The rack is sturdy, does what it is supposed to do.
Customer Review: A misfitting nightmare Summary: 1 Stars
Poorly aligned bolt holes create a bike stand that won't even sit flush on the floor. The whole thing is "sprung", or misaligned once it goes together, with brute force, I might add. Easy to strip out the allen wrench recepticals on the screws. After working with it about 2 hours, I may have to send it back. If you find one of these already assembled, it might be worth buying, but spare yourself a lot of misery. Overall, poor quality control. Also, all the screws, washers, and tools were floating in the box. Lucky they all made it without getting out.
