Customer Review: It's ok, for lighter bikes

I bought three of these hangers for three of our bikes. Our garage walls are concrete and they stay on the wall good enough, however, they seem to bend under the weight of my bike. My wife's bike is a Bianchi mountain bike, hardtail and is very light. This hanger is perfect for her bike. One of my bikes is a custom soft-tail job and is kind of heavy on the back end. When I hang the bike on this hanger, the side with the back tire (and the rear shock and extra tubing that is not on a regular bike), the hanger actually will bend/lean to the side. Same with my Schwinn AT Classic Beach Cruiser. It happens after a few hours of hanging. It's ben hanging there for a week now and it's still OK, but I wouldn't trust it much in the spring/summer when I am taking it down and putting it back up.
One other thing, if you have cables on the under portion of your upper tube, you will have to slide it back and forth to find a good spot. Unfortunately when I put my bike in the hooked portion, it's right on some delicate parts of my cables, so I have to puch it back a few inches. no biggie really, just thought I would mention it.

Even though the rack flexes a little more than I thought it would, it has held up pretty well to holding a relatively heavy bike (Specialized Globe Vienna Hybrid w/ U-Lock attached). The screws that come with it are just awful, though. I would really like to give it 3.5 stars because of that, but I'll round up. So if you're getting this rack, make sure you head to Home Depot and grab a couple of good wood screws to properly secure this rack to a stud. The screws included don't have deep enough notches in the head so attempts to tighten the screw resulted in a lot of slippage.
Overall it's a pretty solid rack and you won't be disappointed as long as you get decent wood screws.

Read the reviews online and this seemed like a good buy but the quality and the design of this storage rack is poor. First the quality - the metal is thin and with a single bike the arms move a lot. Second - there is no flexibility in the spacing of the arms so that one of my two bikes wont fit on it without laying on the brake cables. I would never park a car under or beside this thing - sooner of later the bike on it will fall. Definately would not recommend this thing unless you have an extremely light bike (Carbon road bike) and dont want to put anything valuable near it (like a car).Customer Review: The garage is lookin' good

I like the way the product works, but it feels a bit flimsier than I had thought it would. We bought 4 (one for each bike). I guess if they stand the test of time then I'll feel bad I didn't score them higher. It was a good price. They went up easily. I like the way they hold the bike and you can strap the helmet to the metal frame. I also like that you can fold them flat to the wall. I just don't like the way they bounce when I put up the bike. I keep thinking they are going to bend and drop the bike. Since that hasn't happened, I probably am worried for no good reason.Customer Review: Simple product but does the job

This is a very simple product, just a metal rack to support your bike so there's nothing cutting edge about it. However, the finish is nice and it does fold in easily as stated. The fold-up is nice since you wont inadvertently wack your head against it when unloaded. My road bike is only 20 pounds so not that heavy, though I don't see issues if you put something very heavy as long as you are screwing into something solid such as a structural piece of wood rather than decorative boarding. Overall I'm satisfied as the price was right. Would buy again.
