I've ordered two of these and did a quick test on the first one that came in,
using a small 5W PV panel.
I let it run a couple of hours and it charged a 12V car battery, (Increasing it's voltage) delivering about 5 watts of charge.

It's small and light and seems to work fine. However, I did not charge the battery
all the way to cut-off at 14 volts. (I didn't have all day).

Through its highly advanced microprocessor system, the Ramsond SunShield constantly monitors and regulates the voltage and current from the solar panels to the battery. It ensures that the battery is maintained at its optimal charge and prevents it from over-charging and over-discharging. Additionally it prevents the back-feed of electricity into the solar panel from the battery during hours of darkness.
