Tools and Hardware Reviews of Redi Shade 3003236 36-by-64-Inch Room Darkening Vinyl Shade with Cord, DoveCustomer Review: Pleasantly surprised Summary: 5 Stars
I just rennovated my bathroom and I have a frosted window right next to my bathtub, but I feel that there still is no privacy. I did not want to drill holes in the tile. I looked all over for shades or some sort of shade. These shades are just so nice. They look better than some of the custom made shades. I have intention of buying more. They are great if you are painting your windows and have not decided what kind of window treatment to put up yet. You can put these up temporarily and have something covering your window.
I highly recommend these.
Customer Review: Pretty darn good for the price Summary: 5 Stars
I felt like I was taking a chance with these, but with the low price, why not? I only needed two of them. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. They are incredibly easy to cut (I just used a serrated knife) especially since it comes with a template to do so. They certainly are room darkening and they are easy to raise and lower. I am only using them in a spare room where I don't want to spend alot of money but I would honestly use them elsewhere if I had the need to. They are a good, inexpensive solution to darken a room.
Customer Review: Redi Shades Critique Summary: 3 Stars
I love my new Redi Shades BUT I would just like you to know that after only one month's time one of them fell down. The foam tape was just not working. There are only two small pieces attached to the tops of each shade and I believe that they really need an entire strip attached across the entire length of the shade. The fix is easy though, I just went to the store and bought some more foam tape to put on the shade and now it's back up and working fine. Suggestion to the MFG. PUT MORE TAPE ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE TOP OF THE SHADES !!
Customer Review: As advertized Summary: 4 Stars
These are inexpensive, easy to install, and they reduce the heat in my living room when used with my darker damask curtains which cooked the room when used alone. These don't block the sunlight, they just reduce the light entering; they also are not high quality permanent-type blinds, I just use them in the summer to reduce interior heat.
I ordered 2 and Amazon sent each of them in its own 3 1/2'x2'x2' box, the dimension of the blind is about 3'x2"x2". Lots of wasted space and packing material.
Customer Review: Better than expected Summary: 5 Stars
I have previously purchased the standard Redi Shades and was satisfied for the price. These room darkening shades are far superior and much better than I expected. These are equally easy to cut to size and install. The push-button/cord arrangement to raise and lower the shade is much better and more attractive than the spring clip clothes-pins on the standard shades. They do a pretty good job of darkening the room, but don't expect blackout conditions. I liked them so much I ordered more.
