Besides saving energy in the summertime by filtering the heat into the bedroom window, it is also helping to darken the room by filtering the light. This is a great solution for those who are looking for that darker rooms for sleeping in late. I say go for it . Great prodcut except for the material is papaer. We have lived in our house for ten years without a shade for our large arched window in the master bedroom. I didn't want to spend the money on a custom-ordered shade and was delighted to find this inexpensive solution. The paper is fairly heavy and I think it will work perfectly for us. I felt uneasy after we got our half round Glass window over the front door entry system... I wanted to have privacy at night, but enjoy the beautiful crystal glass by day...
This fan shade fit my wish list.. affordable.. easy to fit ..looks great

Recently purchased the 36x72 inch shade. It was up for about two days and fell down. The shade ripped very easily when we tried to put it back up. Nice product for days days and did cut out the light, but would not purchase again. Waste of money.Customer Review: Redi crap

We decided to purchase this shade because we did not want to spend $200 on a nice shade. For the price this shade works but do not expect much more than folded newspaper. The shade will also fall off your window. So buyer beware.
