Tools and Hardware Reviews of Richell 3-Bin Recycling TowerCustomer Review: efficient space saving recycler Summary: 5 Stars
I love this product! I was worried I was spending $ on a product that cost energy to make & would not be useful long-term, but I was wrong! This tower fits in a narrow space near my kitchen & I use it to recycle mixed paper in the top drawer, newspaper & cardboard in the second drawer & bottles, cans & plastic in the bottom. The drawers are an efficient size, I use brown grocery bags as liners, I trim about 4" off the top & they fit great inside. The drawers are easily removable, when they are full you can remove the entire drawer or just the liner to take everything out. Initially I thought the drawers seemed small but because they are an efficient size, it is surprising how much they hold. I have actually canceled my garbage service, because I can recycle or compost most everything & garbage can easily be hauled off in a small bag once a week or so. Great product! Give it a try!
Customer Review: This item is excellent Summary: 5 Stars
This item sure beats the heck out of storing huge blue bins in front of my door. Now I keep the bins outside my door and they just blend into the wall. When recycling day comes, we just dump the items into the appropriate blue bins and set them out.
I do wish that the bins were a little larger, but I knew there size when I purchased them.
The item was very easy to put together.
Considering buying another one for my daughter's room for storing some of her toys. I can also see where it might be useful for the kitchen (plastic bag storage, pet food storage, Storing Tators & Onions etc).
Customer Review: great for organizing your recycling Summary: 5 Stars
we're very happy with our recycling tower. we were just using paper grocery bags in our kitchen to organize our recycling before and it took up so much floor space and looked cluttered. this recycling tower fixed both our problems. I've read some complaints that the bins are too small, but for us they work great. we need to empty the bins every 5-7 days. and since it's in our kitchen, it's not so big that we feel like we're tripping over it. maybe if you're looking for a huge recycling center for a garage or something, this might be too small for you, otherwise I highly recommend this tower.
Customer Review: Useful Quality Product Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two of these for use in a couple of library buildings to hold plastic grocery bags for people to take and carry their items in. I was very impressed with the ingenuity that went into these storage towers. They assemble VERY easily, they are sturdy, and they hold quite a bit of stuff in a very small footprint. I think these would be useful for all sorts of things - toys, pantry items, garage storage, etc. The only bad thing I can think to say is that one of the two units I ordered was missing the foot pedal. One call to Richell and they had one shipped out to me. Highly recommended!
Customer Review: Two of them arrived broken Summary: 1 Stars
Good in theory. The tall stacking does save space. The off white plastic is more acceptable than many of this type of item I have seen. The first set of Bins arrived with the side panel broken. The box did not appear to be damaged in shipment. After some mis-communication on part of Stacks and Stacks, we finally received the second set of Bins, only to find once again the plastic had a long crack in it. We were able to glue it together and will live with it, but at the cost of $75 (with shipping) I would say, don't waste your money.
