I bought this battery for a Rigid jigsaw purchased without a battery provided on clearance from a local chain store. Why did I do that? I needed a jigsaw, it was cheap and I was able to use my 14.4v batteries; plus even having to buy the battery separate, the total cost was still cheaper than buying both together. I've noticed marked improvement in both power and longetivity, which is to be expected.
Rigid makes solid (both performance and physical product)tools and this battery is no exception. My only complaint would be the weight, but if you're using Rigid products you probably don't care too much about that since they build tools like tanks. This battery gives me the power I need and a quick 30 minute charge when drained.
