Great tool. I chose the Ridgid over the Milwaukie due to the clarity of the display. I saw a demonstration of both brands and the Ridgid's display and camera was much clearer. I have used this Seesnake for assisting in auto repairs, clearing drains, pulling cable through walls [multiple floors] and inspecting plumbing. While I do not use this tool everyday, it is one of those tools that is a frustration saver. Eliminates so much guess work in hard to reach areas and helps reduce the times to become a contortionist. Well worth the extra $$ over the Milwaukie.Customer Review: Tricky to use but very valuable

This takes some getting used to. The image is reversed, and the natural inclination is to move the handle to adjust the view, but you need to jiggle the cable - moving the handle of course does nothing. So it really takes a while to get the hang of it. But we use it for snaking cables in existing house walls, and it has proven valuable over and over again. It's kind of a "rough" tool, but being able to see what you are after can save big time, and give you confidence you are in the right place. We are happy with the purchase.Customer Review: DOA

I found a unit on clearance at HD for $99.00 and I see quickly learned why it was so cheap. The unit was in a sealed box, comsmetically perfect with accessories and batteries. I put in the batteries and turned it on. The LCD image was lighted but blank and the LEDs wouldn't light. On closer inspection I could see that the head had detached from the flexible shaft. All the wires had detached. The unit is obviously not all that rugged. I will be returning it tomorrow.Customer Review: Great while it lasted

I received this product as a gift. It worked great for a few minutes. Then, the screen started intermittently showing solid-blue alternating with static. New batteries didn't solve the problem.
I now have to ship the product back to the manufacturer at my expense. They estimate that it will be repaired within two weeks.
This may very well be an isolated incident, but I thought I would at least add my data point to the din.

Got it in and tried it quickly inside a wall. Other reviews had complained about the image being upside down, so I just twisted the head and worked fine. Works well in a hollow wall, but if you have a wall full of insulation, it can't see very well, but that is to be expected. The promotion of a free 3 ft extension was icing on the cake. The picture is hard to see when in the sunlight, but otherwise it is a very good product.
