This is my first coping saw, so to be fair I must say that I have no prior experience with other brands and models. However, I am thoroughly satisfied with this coping saw purchase. We bought this saw for my son's Pinewood Derby car for Boy Scouts. It handled the job like a charm. The frame of the saw is very sturdy and feels solid. The handle is very comfortable, and is made of wood. I found it very easy to adjust the blade to different angles. With each adjustment, the blade held fast and did not move. This is the type of saw that seems like it will last many years with proper care.
True story... I wanted a good quality saw that I could count on to do the job right. This saw did not let me down. The other day, we had a birthday party for my daughter, and we wanted to put tables under the trees. Problem was the tree branches needed trimming! We don't own any saws. And then I thought, "what about my coping saw? Nah, it is too small and weak". I had no choice; I grabbed it from the garage and decided to use it to cut my branches off. **The branches I cut were no more than 1 inch thick and the tree was not a hardwood**.
I was able to slice right through them with very little effort! This little saw sawed off about 8 or 9 branches by the time I was done. Even after all that, the blade is still very sharp! Now, I just need some extra blades just in case. I am very happy with this purchase. For the small price I paid, I have a great quality saw that I know I can always count on.
