this item is really great it helps you find the center of round objects like a round dowel or for me I make stain glass wind chimes and I make the tops that you hang the strings of glass from, out of 3/4 in oak and I need to know where the center of the wooden bottom plate is cause I have to scroll saw a opening for the top piece of the wind chime to fit down in the bottom plate in the center or the wind chime will hang off balance. this center finder worked perfect to help me find the center mark so i could finish cutting the square i have to draw on the bottom plate so the center string of glass can hang straight.
