I received the new jawhorse so quickly. I would have been glad to wait a few more days instead of Amazon FED EXing it to me, even if it was Free Super Saver Shipping, and the item was pretty heavy. Amazon should cost wise, send it a most economical way, and the customer will still be happy.
I love the product though and only wish that Rockwell would have given an optional kit that would have added the accessory Plywood attachment and left the original smaller HEAVY clamping attachment off. It seems like a waste to have to store one heavy clamping piece, while you are replacing it with another. Rockwell could have reduced the cost somewhat by eliminating the smaller attachment and incorporating the larger ones for customers like myself.

The RK9000 is not just a good product - it's a Great addition when your working alone and need something to hold your work piece "steady" on a flat or an uneven surface.
Does all of the things I would normally pull out two saw horses to help me with the job.
Yes, it is heavy, but not so heavy that a normal person should have any issues with.
If you're like me (working mostly alone) you couldn't ask for a better helper. It doesn't take nature breaks, smoking breaks or even lunch. It's a tool that you'll have confidence in it's "quality preformance" beginning the minute you un-pack it.
Amazon had it on my door step in less than 5 working days using "free shipping"

I had looked at this several times at a local homecenter prior to deciding to purchase it. The deal of the day price pushed me over the edge.
This product is very well made and is almost like an extra set of hands. I have used it for several remodeling projects over the past couple months and now I don't know what I would do without it.
The construction is very stout. The single rear leg is keeps the jawhorse surprisingly sturdy. I am very pleased with the ease of setup and knockdown, once I figured out the order I needed to collapse the legs in.
Overall I would definitely recommend this to the do it your-selfer or the professional.

I had bought the jawhorse shortly after Christmas and it seemed to have worked fairly well. One day I had a few friends over
making a set for my daughters school play. We had been using the tool to hold plywood and various pieces in order to be
fastened together. One of the men had asked me how I had liked the tool and if it had lived up to the TV commercial. Just then, I tried to release the lock and it wouldn't release. Man, was I embarrased! The lock and rod are not made very sturdy and the flimsy rod came loose from the plastic release knob. Most of the unit was made from heavy guage steel except for a
few key components and this was one of them.

I bought the Jawhorse for some projects around the house and hobbies. I have friends living on 14 acres with farm animals and a never ending list of repairs and projects, including remodeling their home. So I gave them the Jawhorse as a gift and they love it! It does everything it's advertised to do and is rock solid and stable. They absolutely love it and agree it's the best gift they've gotten. They especially like the 3-legged construction because they often work on uneven ground. This beats their sawhorse and clamping system hands down! The more they use it, the more uses they find for it. I'll have to get another one for myself. It's worth every penny.
