Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rockwell RK9000 JawhorseCustomer Review: Can't be beat! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this for my husband. It is well build and can't be beat. It is made in the US. It is well build, durable, and can be used for many uses one would not think of until they saw the video that we saw on TV advertising the product. Wish we had seen the ad when this first came out. It is so well planed out. The three legs for stability is just plane genius. In the past, balancing the sawhorse by putting boards under one or more legs was a pain. Now just open the sawhorse and put it where ever you want and it's balanced. It is slightly heavy but that's because it is so well built. My husband is over two hundred pounds and he can stand on it. The push handle to tighten the work down is another wonderful feature. Both hands can hold the object while your foot pumps the jaws tighter to hold the object. As is shows in the video, it can get tight enough to hold an egg but not break the shell. Now how can you beat that? You can't beat this sawhorse.
Customer Review: Almost as good as a spouse Summary: 5 StarsI used the log add-on and used it to cut 15 1/2 cords of wood. Then used it in the shop for various woodworking projects. There is just nothing like it on the market. It's everything advertised. Actually, it's better than your spouse since it never asks you what you want or tells you how to do it. Buy two, it's that good.
Customer Review: A necessary addition to any workshop or one-man project Summary: 5 StarsThe Jawhorse is as advertised. Easy to use in a variety of ways. If you don't have one, you need to add it to your collection of tools and equipment.
Customer Review: The little saw horse that could Summary: 4 StarsOne tough little shop helper. Solid construction-oh, did I say solid, I really mean it. And portable-though a tad bit heavy...no issues of tipping...the lock jaw is totally idiot friendly-one hand operation....left it out in intense sun and the rain for 3 months-no rust.....did I say I love this saw horse.....Buy one, you'll never buy another and it's going to go the distance
Customer Review: Invaluable tool for working alone. The pull along feature doesn't work tho... Summary: 5 StarsThis tool is invaluable - it has an incredible grip that is great for holding what you're working on. More stable than it looks and VERY fast and easy to use.
I rate it 5 stars and only have two notes on it:
1) You have to develop a feel for how far to push the foot pedal as larger pieces of wood (over 6") can snap along the grain if they are clamped too hard. That being said, just pay attention and you're fine. It's also worth noting that the rubber pads don't leave marks or crush points - even in pine.
2) The picture they show of the person rolling it along is staged. The rolling thing works in theory, however in practice it's awkward and the legs come flying out and jam into the ground (stopping you cold) when you hit a bump. Just carry it (it carries upside down - legs can't come out) and you're fine.
