As a Landscape Design Build Contractor, this little tool comes in handy for all types of things, and I use it at home too. I had to replace an old toilet seat over the weekend and had to cut through the metal screws that had rusted so tight that wd40 didn't do a thing to them. So I broke out my sonicrafter, popped on one of these blades and sure, it took about 40 seconds per screw, but I cut around the outside edge of each one and between that and the heat generated, the thing just kind of fell apart as soon as I grabbed it with a pair of pliers. And this was no little nail, but a 1/2 or 5/8" screw. All these other guys with problems are either not tightening the tool enough, or possibly their nails are loose. If things are loose, the piece you are cutting obviously vibrates with the tool so it works much slower. Just apply enough pressure to hold it tight against the edge of whatever you are cutting it from. (It didn't even scratch the porcelain.) Heck, it took me longer to thread the cheap plastic nut on the new seat than it took me to cut the old one off. My blade still has all the teeth on it too. Are they new looking? No, but it still has plenty of life. Just tighten the sucker and it works fein,..ah,.. fine.
