Customer Review: Powerful and Light Vac

I did a lot of looking for a small, light vacuum to keep handy for just the kitchen/bathroom/hallway area, as it is a sizable space that is some times too much to broom-sweep.
YAY:
*I very much like that it is compact and light. This fits easily in to a small pantry area used to store cleaning supplies and a broom.
*I am 5'3" and the extended handle is a perfect height.
*It is light weight and very easy to push on tile and carpet. This may be ideal if you have physical challanges/strength issues.
*Handy attachment for sticking in to or moving across small spaces (under toe-kick of cabinets, around toilet, etc.)
*Very long cord. Can do a very large area without having to find a new outlet.
BOO:
*The filter. Very messy. I put on dish washing gloves to shake out the canister and bang the dusty dirty filter. I will use a tooth brush to brush out dirt when the filter gets really dirty. If you have a problem with dust be warned, have someone else clean out the canister.
*The handle that is perfect for me is a bit low for my husband who is 6'3". The extended handle is close to the end of his reach when he pushes it a little (I see him hunch a bit to push it farther out) so it's a bit unweildy but certainly managable.
*The hose for the hand-held attachment is short. You need the whole unit pretty much up against what you are hand-vacuuming. (It is a compact-sized hose designed for a compact unit.)
*Does not seem to pick up large pieces of debris (for example, some dog kibble may be too large for it to grab up).
I am overall very happy with the vacuum, it does a very good job at picking up all the dirt, grass, dust and other stuff that accumulates on the floor from just 1-2 weeks of life. It is perfect for the area in which it was intended. My review would be 5 stars if not for the mess and such when the canister needs to be emptied, however I can live with the unpleasant task of dumping the dirty canister and brushing the filter as it doesn't cause me any breathing issues.
