Tools and Hardware Reviews of Divatex Home Fashions Royal Opulence Satin Queen Sheet Set, Black

Customer Review: Awesome deal for satin!
Summary: 5 Stars

After months of research and a vigrous hunt for satin pillowcases, I finally settled on this product in gold. I was skeptical based on some of the other reviews but took the plunge (you really can't get a satin sheet set for cheaper than this). I washed the entire set before use and I have to say, they were awesome. The fitted stayed put for a whole week and I simply re-tucked the flat sheet the odd morning where necessary but did not encounter as much slippage as others may have (this with a husband who tosses quite a bit throughout the night). I did find that switching to satin pillowcases has positively enhanced my skin and hair and I will never return to cotton pillowcases again! After a few days, miraculously I noticed I was no longer breaking out and my hair actually felt fuller. My husband who usually does not care for such luxuries is now anxiously awaiting our second sheet set. In terms of feel, for someone who's always cold I found they warmed up quickly and on the flip side my husband who's always hot, found them cool. Either way you look at it, we're both sold on these sheets. Enjoy!!!

Customer Review: Pass
Summary: 2 Stars

Great for the price, but you get what you pay for.

We can't use the pillow cases with the sheets, because the pillows slide all over the place.
Would rather not chase my pillow around all night, but whatever floats your boat.

The sheets are soft, and wonderful, but they do get runs very easily, and look pretty tacky, pretty fast.

Never had an issue with staining though. We ordered the black, they look black too, so I don't know what all the other reviews are talking about.

They don't want to stay on the bed either, we have to use the sheet latch things to keep them on. Not a big deal, but pretty annoying to have to flip the mattress over every time you want to wash your sheets. :/

Wish the sheets were satiny on both sides, too. That would have been a plus. The other side is pretty scratchy.

These weren't for me, but like I said, you get what you pay for, shoulda known better.

Customer Review: Slip n Slide to Dreamland
Summary: 5 Stars

Great soft, smooth sheets for sliding into dreamland.

Pro:
Easy to wash and dry. Great deep, rich colors. Wonderful to touch.
The fitted bottom sheet corner pockets are big enough for a deep mattress with a foam topper and thick mattress pad too.

Con:
If you don't use sheet anchors for the foot end of the sheet, it will pull out overnight; but that's what satin sheets do.
Get a pair of garter strap sheet anchors so you don't have to remake the foot end of the bed everyday!!!

Add Nylon Tricot pajamas and you'll be as warm as using flannel; but a whole lot easier to turn over.

If you haven't tried Polyester Satin Sheets with Nylon Tricot pajamas, do yourself a favor and see what you have been missing !!!

Customer Review: Very slippery - unless you have dry feet
Summary: 3 Stars

These sheets are very soft and comfortable, but most nights the blankets slip and slide from side to side and the top 2 corners pop off the mattress because they're so slippery. And if there's any hanky panky, the bed is a mess - corners always pop off and blankets always on the floor (am i allow to say that?).

If my feet are dry, it's very annoying cuz they "scratch" the sheets - annoying like fingernails on a chalk board. Upside - it forces me to lotion my feet every night.

Also, if my five year old gets in bed with me, it's easy to "slide" him over when he has snuggled me to the edge of the bed.

These are my first set of satin sheets, so I can't compare them to others, but they are interesting - and fun. One set is enough, though.

Customer Review: These are sheets
Summary: 3 Stars

They fit the bed, they do all those other things you might expect a sheet to do, and they really are as silky smooth as indicated... on one side. The visible side of the top sheet is satin, while the underside, the one that actually has anything to do with your comfort, is kind of raspy by comparison. In practice, it isn't actually uncomfortable, and the top of the fitted sheet is still silky, but it was a somewhat jarring and disappointing revelation.

They're kind of sticky when they first come out of the package, so be absolutely sure to wash them first to get that extra dye out. The weird Halloween mask smell won't come out until at least the second wash, though.
