This is one of those rare gadgets that actually works as described. It is perfect for those stubborn clamshell packages, but the uses are really unlimited! And it's obvious that the designers of this tool spent a lot of time engineering this product for ease of use and safety. Just a few things that set this product apart from other similar tools on the market:
The ergonomic wraparound handle makes it much easier and safer to use than any other package opening tool I've seen - no chance of accidental cuts from a slipped grip.
The angle between the blade and the flat surface of the tool allows it to slide through heavy plastic as well as thin paper, without binding up.
The tool is easily opened, used and closed with a single hand, and designed to be just as easy to operate left-handed as right-handed.
Although priced low enough to be disposable, the blade can be easily replaced by the owner several times for the price of a new tool. That also means less plastic in our landfills.
For years now, every time I struggled with one of those crazy clamshell packages, I felt sorry for the folks out there who can't easily grip a razor knife, or easily operate a pair of scissors. This product appears to be exactly the solution they need.
As a gadget junkie, I think this product is really innovative, and as an owner and user, I know it does what they say it will, plus a lot more!
