I like this product, and my son certainly gets a great deal of use out of his chalkboard and loves it. It's great in the kitchen for taking notes, however I do have one small criticism. You know when you buy a chalkboard and you can take the duster and effectively polish the chalkboard black with it? Well, you can't do that with this product. Certainly a duster will wipe the chalk off, but no matter how long you rub, the chalkdust will never be fully removed and the wall will have a patchy appearance, unless you take a cloth, dampen it slightly and then wipe the board down.
Consequently I wipe the board down at the end of each day, so it looks clean. Another thing, I was told that one coat of this product is all that is needed. However I applied one coat onto the prepainted drywall and following the recommended drying period, the eraseability was even less satisfactory than it is currently. I ended up applying 5 layers of coat to get the finish I was happy with.
It's a good product. but if I could get a custom chalkboard made, that would be better. Obviously that exercise and cost would far outweigh the ease of painting the wall with this stuff, so while this paint may be more convenient, be aware of the limitations of this product.

I purchased the chalk board paint when we first moved into our new home three years ago. I used it on a large piece of wood (former table top) that I sanded down. I wanted an area that would be large enough for my two girls, then 2 and 6. I primed the wood with the magnetic paint first then applied the chalk board paint. My husband was very skeptical, he said it would never work and it was a waste of money....3 years later my girls are still enjoying the huge chalk board! It is an awesome idea for a play room or kids room. For the cost of a couple of jars of paint and some time, I repurposed a table that we were going to throw away. I am exceedingly pleased with the product and how well it has stood the test of both time and children and it is used often. From keeping score on the Wii to playing school....we love it!Customer Review: VERY PLEASED

When I ordered from this company I had no idea who they were. All I knew was that I needed this chalkboard paint to cover a table for Christmas. Figuring that I had ample time to receive the item I ordered early. I was in awe when it was delivered in just 2 days. In the end I was glad that it came early so as to check out the end result of the painted table. The packaging was impeccable and the product in perfect shape. The pricing was also a plus. I will never hesitate to order from them in the future.

I used the chalk board brush on back paint for my grandson's room. It was very easy to use and I used 2 coats of paint. I then chalked the board down and waited the recommended time and it was ready to use on his first birthday. I wish I had purchased a gallon instead of the 30 ounces, but it still looks great and I am sure that he will use it as he grows up. Excellent product for a unique twist to a child's room.Customer Review: Love it!

I love this product. My daughter wasnt doing so good in math class.. As soon as i got this chalkboard paint, i wrote out math problems on the board before i went to work so she can work on them on her spare time. (She is five so this chalkboard caught her attention). She does it everyday plus she uses the door to do her homework. She loves it, i love it. Its easy to paint on and clean off the chalk.
