My wife had recently received a very nice antique brass floor lamp from her mother. Due to the age the lamp it needed to be rewired and the base needed some attention due to some rust on the surface. The base was made of iron which was the reason for the rust forming. After making some attempts locally to find a spray paint to closely match the aged brass part of the lamp, I gave up. Then I thought of Amazon and did a search inquiry and found this product. After receiving the product, I cleaned off the rust and applied a coat of paint. I found that this was as close as you can get to the look of aged brass using a spray paint. My wife and I both were very pleased with the results.
