Tools and Hardware Reviews of Factory Reconditioned Ryobi ZR08510 25.4cc Gas-Powered Variable-Speed Hand-Held Blower/Vacuum/MulcherCustomer Review: Ryobi 25.4cc hand held blower Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent product for the price. No problems. You need to assemble the handgrip if you want to use the vacuum feature; and the ground wire was not already attached and the instructions and pictures do not show clearly where and how exactly to attach it. Doesn't really feel like 205mph blower but nevertheless, I am satisfied with its performance. The blower tubes are angled too far down, so that it touches the ground before the blower body. Makes it a little awkward to try to brace the blower on the ground to engage the starting routine, but again, it's only a minor inconvenience to me, compared to the POS Homelite blower that wouldn't stay running once I had it started. Compared to the Homelite, this is heaven (even tho I read that Ryobi and Homelite are made by same manufacturer).
Customer Review: WOW!!! Summary: 5 Stars
My old Craftsman leaf blower finally bit the dust for the last time. It was so-so as I had to take it in twice in 4 years to keep it running. I was going to buy a Poulan Pro from Wal-mart for $102 plus tax. I read reviews online and saw that well over 20 of 31 reviews complained about the recoil not retracting when pulling the starter cord.Forget that. One reviewer said that Poulan Pro denied they had a problem! So I looked at other blowers on line and read about an $81 Ryobi refurbished blower. The reviews looked good, so I ordered one. Mine was brand new (from Amazon)and man is this thing GREAT! The quality is at least comparable to my Craftsman and the operation is easy and simple. No tax and free shipping make the Ryobi a "No-Brainer"!
Customer Review: hard worker for the price Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this blower in 2007 to replace a craftsman that died after 1 year. Well, now I am going into the 4th year and I have to replace the choke switch which wore out and I lost it. Big whoop! At the end of the season I run gas preservative through the engine & then run it dry and without a fail it fires up after 2 or 3 pulls in the spring when I put fresh gas in it. I certainly can't complain after buying a refurbished product for half of the regular price. The blowers blows very well - even wet oak leaves that are piled 8" high and the vacuum does a decent job too although I don't use that function very often as I have a leaf shredder that does that job for me.
Can't ask for anything better than that could I?
Customer Review: A great product Summary: 5 Stars
Wow.
This is the best leaf blower I have ever used. I ordered it Wednesday they delivered it Friday. It looked brand new. I put in the 50-1 mix, pulled it 4-5 times, it started right up and ran perfectly. I started it later with one pull. This is a great blower and a great bargain. It has a one year warranty. If it lasted one year and then you threw it away, it would still be a bargain. It is very well built and I believe it will last for quite a few years. I have purchased many thousands of dollars of products on Amazon but have only written two reviews. On was for my Misubishi Tv, loved it then and love it just as much two years later and now for the Ryobi because I am very impressed with this product and price.
Customer Review: Worked for about an hour - Warranty is worthless! Summary: 1 Stars
I used this Blower / Vac to suck up leaves when I got it. It worked GREAT for about an hour until I sucked up a a small piece of a stick that was hiding in the leaf pile and it just stopped working. It would not restart. I took it to the local authorized Ryobi repair shop and they said that the engine housing and drive shaft cracked and it would cost about 2x what I paid for it to fix. The technician there said that these units were "JUNK" and basically "THROW AWAYS"! Yes I am quoting the Ryobi Authorized Repair Technician! I said I thought it was covered under the factory warranty and he just laughed. Said I abused it and therefore it is NOT covered under warranty. Last Ryobi product I'll ever purchase!
