This blower lasted us less than a year -- but that is probably our fault as my husband probably did not add enough oil to the gas. That said, this is an ok blower for the price. It looked new out of the box and it lasted for about 10 months of residential use. I used it mostly and my husband used it occasionally. I think it was ok, my husband hated it. His chief complaint was the noise level and the vibration. This blower is VERY VERY loud. You must wear noise canceling headphones or your ears will be ringing for an hour. It also vibrates a lot and was kind of heavy for me (petite woman). We just bought a backpak blower to replace it (we have a big yard with lots of trees).

Doesn't seem very powerful, but has enough velocity to blow grass clippings, leaves, sticks, and whatever else you want away (except for an ex). Have not used the vac feature yet. Item is slightly heavy and benefits from a shoulder strap, an inexpensive additional investment which will save your arms from tiring. As I am right-handed, I wish the air inlet was on the right side of the item, as then you would not have to worry about loose clothes getting sucked against the inlet while operating. Overall the unit starts up good and runs consistent, always gets the job done. Would recommend to a friend, but only with a few reservations. Want a good used and rusted Blower than this is for you. I ordered this and it looks like its been used like no other, it even has rust on the motor and is beat up beyond reconditioned. This blower should have been placed in the trash the way it looks when I received this. It did start though and works so far even though it looks like its been used for 12 years and left outside in the rain and fell off back of a truck. I took a chance on this and shelled out $89 and now I'm very disappointed I did. Thanks amazon for the junk! I have ordered many thing from amazon and this takes the cake. And now have serious questions on Amazons Products they sell and pass off as "reconditioned"Customer Review: Not worth the money

I bought this blower over a year ago, and for the first six months it worked fine. However, it began to start very hard in the later period. I recently let a small engine mechanic take a look at the blower, and he found the engine block to be cracked. It should have lasted longer than this, and it leads me to believe that this was either a defective product, or used negligently by the first owner as it was a "factory reconditioned" item. I won't buy a "factory reconditioned" item again, because it seems that Ryobi isn't checking the item throughly enough before reselling. Buyer beware is all that I can advise anyone looking at one of these "factory reconditioned" blowers.Customer Review: AVOID

AVOID any Ryobi refurbished units. I don't believe I have even seen a two cycle engine with such difficulty starting. I urge any buyer that may be thinking of buying a refurbished or reconditioned unit to just forget that thought and go buy the unit at a big box store. That way if the product isn't right, you can return it. These refurbished units are for sale for ONE reason; THEY DID NOT WORK CORRECTLY AND SOMEONE TRIED TO FIX IT AND SOMEHOW DIDN'T GET IT DONE. Once you buy a refurbished unit, you may be stuck with it. There may be no returning it, it may be yours to enjoy..forever. Pay a little more and get a better unit at a big box brick and mortar store.
