Customer Review: Great Saw, Horrible Blade.

I live in the Dominican Republic and have discovered that buying tools through Amazon, even with sometimes paying as much in shipping as for the product itself, it's still much less expensive buying online than locally. We bought a refurbished Ryobi circular saw. It arrived in just a week even shipping overseas. The word "REFURBISHED" is melted/burned into the plastic case which I found amusing. On first use we installed the blade that was included in the package. Big mistake. Trying to cut a 3/4" thick hardboard and Formica desktop the blade started burning the wood rather than cutting it after only a minute or so worth of runtime. I have never seen a blade deteriorate so quickly. The saw motor had plenty of power, but without another blade on hand we reverted to cutting the destop with a hand saw. That's not a reason to stay away from the product, of course. But you'd think they might want to include a better blade so that it can be used out of the box without someone thinking the problem is the saw or motor,
