Customer Review: WHY you must buy one

I bought 3 of these in August 2010 and they have continued to function with the same batteries for 3 months so far. I highly recommend that you use one in the FREEZER, as I do. I hate the fact that a refrigerator has no light in the "icebox". I put one in there and it works wonderfully every time.
I use the other two in the spare bathroom [one was not enough light]. They both come on, and a simple swing of the arm turns it back on if you are in there more than 15 seconds.
The only DRAWBACK is that they go out too soon, but I have a night light plugged into a socket in the bathroom and it prevents total darkness until I swing my arm [my bathroom has no windows].
These devices have definitely helped to reduce my wattage use because the spare bathroom has 4 forty-watt round bulbs that
I don't turn on anymore or accidentally leave on.
If you are not sure, then just order one and try it [dark hallway; steps; garage; freezer; closet; back porch; etc.] If you don't like it, give it to a friend or family member.
UPDATE JAN 23, 2011 - All 3 are still running at full strength since August 2010 with the original Duracell alkaline batteries I installed. Amazing.

This light is my second try to add light to a dark pantry and closet. This one is vastly better than the first for three big reasons. The first light I tried was only functional in the dark and the closets have some ambient light, just not enough. Secondly, the first light didn't stay on long enough to be useful and the third thing I hated about it was the mounting mechanism.
This light is brighter, stays on a decent length of time and can be mounted with either the included velcro pad that has sticky backs for attachment to the wall and the back of the light, or it can be hung on a nail or hook. This means it's easy to take down to replace the batteries when needed. So far, it's done just what I wanted and I've even ordered three more for other locations.
The light is about 3" square and relatively flat so it goes in lots of places like my linen closet where it won't interfere with items stored in there.
If you need to brighten up a dark closet or other small space, I highly recommend this unit over others. I bought three different types and find this is the sleekest so fits best in a small area without taking up much space and it is the most functional for that application.

Works great! The motion sensor is pretty responsive. The easiest way to mount this is by using a nail on a wall. It has a mounting hole for a nail in one of the corners at the back. You can use a velcro if you want. It accepts 3 "AA's" batteries. Very light, most of its weight will only be from the batteries once installed. Has an off/steady on/auto slider switch at the back.
This is good for dimly lit corridors and stairways when we have to walk zombielike in the middle of the night. No need to fumble for the light switches. Nice steplight if you don't mind how awkward it looks. I installed mine in a clothing closet. I sticked it with a velcro on one of the swing doors. It will not flood the whole closet from top to bottom but it is adequate enough to see everything. Color spectrum is a bit low, and it is in the bluish white glow. So it may be a little bit hard to distinguish colors - but not too bad.
Compared to my other puck LED lights, this is rather huge. Twice as big, and looks odd from the lot. It has a strange layout how the LEDs were distributed. The LEDs are bright, but not extraordinarily bright. Made in China.
Customer Review: NO DAYLIGHT OFF FUNCTION!

I bought 6 of these to light up the outdoor stairs leading up to my hillside home. Unfortunately, unlike what the product description suggests, there is NO DAYLIGHT OFF function! The ONLY way to turn this off is to remove it from where you have it mounted, because the only (manual) off switch is on the BACK of the unit! When you have this installed on a wall, or a post, access to the switch will be entirely blocked!
Since I frequently travel up and down my stairs where I mounted the lights, it is silly, wasteful of energy, and annoying to have these lights popping on all day long in broad daylight.
Other than the misleading product description, and the very poor placement of the switch, I would say that the device DOES put out a decent amount of light. If only they would have added a photo sensor, this would actually be a useful product!
NOTE: Of the 6 of these that I ordered, 1 arrived with a small defect. (the motion sensor cover was loose and pushed back inside the unit) I have since returned all 6 of these. And now the search continues for an AFFORDABLE product just like this, but WITH an AUTOMATIC daylight off sensor!

When I finally got desparate for better lighting in the stairway leading to my basement family and party rooms, I couldn't find anything I liked at the local "Big Box" stores. I needed a battery powered light with motion sensor that was strong enough to light the stairway so no one would trip on the stairs at our holiday parties. Everyone was coming from two years to 87 years old and I was desperate for a quick fix. I almost gave up looking until I thought of trying Amazon for the item.
Well, I was surprised to find that many choices. I couldn't decide so I bought a few to try out in various places in and around my house. But the one that worked the best and is still got the most important job of lighting my stairway to the family room every time someone comes on or near my stairs, is the SE Wireless Motion Sensor Light - 10 Super-Bright LED. Its great and it really lights up the stairwell. And best of all not a single person complained about the new lighting during the holidays except that many of my family members and guests did ask me one thing. . . . . Why did I wait so long........ and where did you get that?
