Customer Review: SK - Good Stuff If The Price is Right

As a former mechanic, I was looking for a sturdy long extension for doing trannys and what not. I just ruin'd my last "cheapie" long 3/8" extension doing a tranny, that one lasted me about 10yrs as I only used it about 10 times. These 1/2" to 3/8" extensions sure make sense (if you've ever done a tranny, you know why I stated this). Since I'm a former mechanic, I was looking for value. If I was a full-time wrench, I would have got a SnapOn, Matco, or Mac version which are [...]. SK is a big name in tools, but I never have purchased any SK tools since warranty claims would be tougher than the big 3 as a wrench and especially now as a former wrench. SK is typically the same amount of money or a little less than the big 3 so most guys I know have the "why bother" attitude. This impact extension is about HALF the price of what the big 3 wants. So I got a regular chrome 36" extension as well. ToolTopia prices allowed me to get 2 brand new SK extensions at used SnapOn extension prices. These look to be very well made. I haven't used them yet, but wanted to get a review while the purchase was still fresh in my head. Thank You Amazon.com and ToolTopia for a great purchase !!
