We had a bathroom door that wouldn't stay open. I guess the house has settled and the door would always be half open, which annoyed the heck out of me. I had been using a cast iron door stop but that was a pain to my husband because his towel rack was behind that door so he had to move the door stop every time he got out of the shower. This door holder absolutely did the trick! Since the bathroom floor is tile, I chose to mount the base on the wall behind the door and that worked fine. The magnet is strong enough to hold the door open but it's still easy to close the door. My husband is thrilled that I got rid of that old door stop. It's also nice that this one comes in several different finishes so it can compliment just about any decor. Also very easy to install in minutes.
