Customer Review: Battery still going after 1 year
Summary: 5 Stars

I've owned this for 1 year now and I still consider it to be a great purchase.

Pros:
- one year later and the battery still appears to be going strong. I have a lithium 9V ready for when it does die.
- looks awesome (I uploaded 2 pics last year)
- super convenient. I use it everyday and each time I have some thought about it being a cool thing to be using. I still love it.
- it's nice to be able to add an extra code and easily remove that when not needed, so as not to give out your main code.

Cons:
- not bump proof. as others have mentioned, it's really weird that they wouldn't make this thing bump proof. it looks like a high-tech lock, so I'm hoping that'll be enough to convince a would-be robber to try lock bumping on an older door instead of mine. robbers usually take the path of least resistance, right? I hope so, but I plan on closing the lock up as I describe below.

Recommendations:
- change the code on a regular basis. it prevents the numbers from being worn out on the keypad as one commenter mentioned, and most of all, it helps with general security. we change the code once a month and we base the code on certain things so that if one of us changes the code on schedule, we know what the code is without asking the other person. think of a simple formula for an always changing code (that's not easily found out if you give out the code a couple of times) that works for you and change the code regularly!

- I haven't done this yet, but I plan on closing up the keyhole because of the lock bumping issue. I'll search other reviews first and see how others have done this. We have NEVER used the key on this lock, but if the unit suddenly doesn't work, I'll go in through the other door and change the battery or replace the unit if it's totally broken.

Customer Review: Keypad deadbolt
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this lock for my business. I recently bought a new building. My previous shop was in a multi-tenant building and usually there was some one from one of the other business that could accept my deliveries if I wasn't there, or the package could be left out in the common hallway in front of my office door. I am the only business in my new building and I am away a good percentage of the time doing installations at customers' locations so I don't have anyone to receive deliveries. I bought this lock and have programmed codes in for UPS, FedEx and my other vendors. I also have a generic code for the odd delivery. I leave a note on my door telling the delivery person to call my cell phone to get an access code. I only give out the code if I am expecting a delivery and I have to know the company I am receiving the delivery from or I won't give out the code. The generic code is erased after I give it out once and a new one is entered. This lock has worked great for this purpose. It has also saved the hassle of giving out keys to employees. I assign a code to each employee, leaving it up to them to give me a number they can easily remember. It also helps when recently I let an employee go. I didn't have to worry about whether he still had access to my building by secretly making a duplicate key, I just erased his code.

I had one problem with the lock a few days after installing it. The twist knob locked up and wouldn't turn. I had to disassemble the lock and found the shaft fell out of the hole it was placed in. I don't know if this was a problem with the lock or just that I did something wrong when I installed it. It has worked fine ever since. I also found it took a little work to program it but now that I figured it out it's pretty easy.

Customer Review: Yum to look at - works just as beautifully!! Get one!
Summary: 5 Stars

We got ours from the local Lowes, and it came in an open box. The excuse Lowes had was that there is a lot of store theft for these products so they un-box them (?) to upper shelves!

Vain as it sounds, I have always wanted these.

- It can be a hassle to walk in the door with a ton of grocery bags and then have to fumble for keys.
- Esp. with two large puppies clamoring to get in before you.
- It is so convenient to be able to give a 'guest code' to friends, workers, and of course - guests :) You can always delete/alter the guest code later with ease.
- You don't have to get up in the middle of the night to answer the door for your spouse when they fly into town (no, he doesn't always carry his keys and yes, he forgets/looses them quite often)

I designed my door around this lock. We were thinking about replacing the front entry doors and instead, I decided I would just give a lick of paint to the door and install new hardware, this one included. It was not hard to convince my husband - $3k vs less than $300 was an easy sell ;)

Here is a pic - and no, the blue is not as gaudy as this picture makes it out to be :p

So go ahead - get one, it is a beauty!!

Note: I would say still have a spare key somewhere outside. I have heard the battery lives a long long time, but I always keep a key with my trusty neighbours.

Customer Review: Buttons Wear Off! (and Battery Problems)
Summary: 1 Stars

When I was growing up, I thought our Zenith b&w TV was the best the world could offer for a TV, until one day my father brought home an RCA color TV. I still remember the amazement I felt that day.

I had a somewhat similar experience recently.

Last year we bought a Schlage keyless lock from a local store. We put up with frequent battery problems for the convenience of keyless entry thinking it was the best the world could offer for a keyless lock, until one day I discovered to my horror that the ink on the keypad buttons wore off, revealing the 4 digits we used in our 4 digit code!!

Frustrated and worried, we did what we should have done in the first place and researched on keyless/keypad locks, and found Sunnect keyless locks. When the Sunnect lock arrived, I felt that same amazement.

It is truly one for the books.

It has many security and convenience features like automatic locking and it has a very sturdy construction (check out their bullet test!)

And the keypad?

It comes with a beautiful sliding cover that protects it from the elements and the buttons have their numbers imprinted on the inside so that all the buttons are smooth with no ink to wear off!

Customer Review: I LOVE THIS LOCK
Summary: 5 Stars

I read all the reviews and decided on this lock. I had it installed by a handyman and it took him 2 hours ($30 total). I didn't have a deadbolt on that door, so he had to drill a hole and create one.

The lock is very attractive, much nicer than the photo. The front part sticks out and works like a handle, so that when you close your door, you push the top button and then turn the "handle" and that locks the door. It's so easy. I used to go for a walk and leave my door open, just because I didn't want to carry keys. Now, I just close the door, push the button, and turn the lock. It's so fabulous---you will love it.

When you return to the house, you punch the top button, then touch in your four digit code, and turn the knob.

The inside is a large lever that turns the lock once you come inside. I expected it to be heavy, but it's very light and easy to turn.

It's attractive, easy, and I love it. If I wasn't so cheap, I'd put one on all my rental property. Let's face it, once you give someone a key, you never get it back. And I have had "friends" make themselves a key before they did give it back---creepy, I know. This way, you never have to worry about rekeying your house. You can just reset the code on the lock. There's also a way to put in a second code if you want someone else to come in without knowing the master.

I LOVE THIS LOCK!
