After doing some research, I decided to purchase this keyless-entry deadbolt. I have to say that I bought it at Home Depot, and they are selling it for about $25 less here on Amazon. :(
I was able to install the lock by myself and it gave me no trouble whatsoever, mechanically, or with the installation. As soon as I was done installing it, it was working. The deadbolt looks great and does its job. And I like the fact that it has 10 buttons, as opposed to Kwickset's 5-button pad. I mean, if you are going to have only 5 buttons, you might as well just number them 1 - 5. For someone trying to guess your code and break in, that gives them half the number of combinations to worry about.
I had read about the Sunnect locks and considered getting one of those for a little while, but at twice the cost, it didn't make sense. If I were super rich, I would get a Sunnect lock, I would probably also buy tons of expensive stuff I don't really need. Wait, I already do that. I guess I mean I would buy "incredibly expensive" stuff I don't need! :)
Anyway, I am very happy with this set and don't really believe I needed something stronger or of higher quality.

We bought this lock set off another website, in a full handle set version, to replace a very poor Kwikset Smartscan Biometric set. What a relief.
This is an outstanding performer with just the right amount of features to make it reliable and functional. It is quick to operate and consistent. It doesn't have the motorized deadbolt (both the Kwikset bushbutton and biometric sets) - and that's a good thing because you don't need it. This lock set strikes the perfect balance without adding something that will wear out and fail.
I remember a reviewer somewhere saying something to the effect of 'wearing out the keys to the point that someone could see what numbers you are pushing'... well change the code to some fresh keys! However, there is no sign of this happening anyway, and that includes dirty construction hands smashing the keys. The keys are well constructed and durable.
Believe the great reviews on all the different finishes for this set - nice product and we're very pleased.

I have had the brass version of this deadbolt for bout a year and I love it. It is th best one that I have come across (and yes - the most expensive - but you get what you pay for). It is eye-catching rather than an eye-sore. Be careful, some of the cheaper competitor's models have a plastic back that is very unappealing for a main door. The unit is smaller than many by requiring only a 9 volt battery because it does not lock/unlock the deadbolt for you. You do it manually.
Pros:
1) Appealing design (front and back - no plastic)
2) Smaller than most (due to use of 9v battery)
3) Keypad lights up when you touch it for nighttime entry
4) Never get locked out. Give the neighbor a temporary code to get in.
Cons:
1) Pricey ut you get what you pay for

I bought this lock from Home Depot over a year ago, love it, don't need to carry keys any more , I intalled the lock myself it was pretty easy, the only problem I had was setting the code, it took me a few times to get it right, otherwise it is a great lock to purchase. I have some other lock using thumb print, it was one of the less expensive one, it worked fine in the beginning, but after a year or so it took a few times to recognize the finger prints, I was debating to buy this look or a lock using thumb prints, since the experiences I had with the thumb print lock I decided to purchse this and installed it on my front door. I would recommend this lock, in fact one of my friends bought a house a few months ago and I recommended this lock to him and he bought three of them and I installed it for him.Customer Review: Chose the best

I order one of these for my daughter and myself and all I can say is that I wish I hadn't waited so long. My daughter told me that every time she uses it she is thrilled. She said that it's the best gift that I've given her.
Quit searching for that key or having to turn off your vehicle engine in order to run back inside for that forgotten item and having to return to re-cool or reheat you vehicle.
Great product and great service !!
Let me add, that my husband is in the building business and could have purchased a different brand but decided to go with a well know brand and is very happy that we did. You won't be unhappy with the product or the company that is selling it.
