I have now purchased and installed 3 of these Schlage keypads, 2 "lever-style" and this deadbolt. Installation is very simple when replacing an existing lockset, took less than 20 minutes with only a screwdriver. The lock is very solid, nice appearance and durability. We replaced a different, cheaper electronic lock with this one. The other one failed after a very short time due to a poor design. This one works great, has more number combinations possible, and is far more rugged. Installation was very easy and quick. I ordered this deadbolt keypad along with the lever. It has been installed now for over a few weeks no problems. I visited a family member who has had this and new I needed on for my family of 5. i am a retired locksmith and i found this product easy to install very easy to operate and is a very nice looking piece of hardware. I used this to replace other combination locks i already had. I think is one of the best password dead bolts out there. I tried the competition with the opening motor and it just wastes too much batteries. This one is great and I guess battery will last much longer.
I have used it for 4 months and the battery is still very good
