I bought this filter because it was the cheapest of the whole bunch. It really is true.....you get what you pay for. This filter doesn't help with the taste and odor of my water. I just purchased another filter from ABT that is the original filter for my refrigerator for $10 more and no shipping costs. DO NOT BUY THIS FILTER!Customer Review: Dirty right out of box

Sorry to say but it's true - these just are not very good filters. In fact, I have one in my hands now brand new from the box and it's so filthy (& it rattles -???) that I refuse to even install it. It's no fun to hassle with the return/exchange but it's either go through that headache or throw $23 in the trash.Customer Review: filter

Product seems like it's lighter weight than the OEM version with a higher flow rate. Not sure if the flow rate is indicative of less filtration medium since it's impossible to determine. I don't see any difference in water quality vs. the OEM version.Customer Review: Great Filter

I did much research for price and compatability. This was a great deal. Not as expensive as the original and performs exactly as described. It is amazing how clear your ice cubes are when you replace the filter when it is due.
