Customer Review: Overall A Good Product

I bought this item because I saw it in the Sky Mall magazine on many of my airline flights over the years. When we bought our new house in Wisconsin, I decided to install it to keep out some of the rain that came in the garage. We had a lot of rain for many days and the door did not keep all the water out. So I decided to try the item.
I ordered the item and waited for a nice clear sunny day that was dry and warm to install. We followed the directions and installed accordingly. It was not a backbreaking effort to do so, but there are two things about it that I wish would have been better.
One, the amount of adhesive they provide leaves very little room for error. We started placing it on the floor of the garage as described, but about half way through we began to worry we might not have enough to finish, so we had to use less on the remaining area.
The size we ordered was for the widest door opening, but you can cut it down based on your door width. If our door opening were narrower the amount of adhesive that came with the kit would have been enough without issue.
Two, the adhesive begins to dry fast. I would have liked an adhesive that took longer to dry than what came with the kit. We put down all of the adhesive on the garage door threshold before we placed the rubber strip over the top of it. You have to apply the adhesive before you place the rubber strip down.
You can't do it as you go along. You need to align the rubber strip so it is completely straight along the floor. So you have to do it at the end of adhesive application. If you do it as you go along, and the strip is not straight you would need to break the sealed area of strip already adhered to the floor.
After installation the strip has worked very well. It keeps out the water from rain and melting snow very well. In respect to leaves and grass cutting in the wind it does a fair job at that too.
Overall I am happy with its performance, it has held up well for about 3 winters so far, and I see no signs of deterioration. I would buy it again.
