After less than a day, the latch got stuck. It would take me 15 minutes of beating, prying, etc. to get it open. I finally decided it wasn't worth the hassle. They claim to have a guarantee but when I wrote the company they ignored me. I just ended up returning it and getting my money back. I'm sorry but this safe has got to be one of the biggest mistakes that Sentry has made. It's difficult if not impossible to open and I've almost given up a few times and just destroyed the safe to get at the contents.DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME BUYING THIS SAFE!

I've had a nearly identical model for years, and recently bough this one. It is a cost efficient way to keep documents and other valuables safe. It is sturdy, closes securely, and is waterproof and moderately fireproof. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Unusable and Poor Quality

Ordered two of these. Though both boxes are unscathed after being shipped, both safes have broken hinges and one has a cracked latch. Totally unusable and appears to be a manufacturing/assembly quality issue rather than shipping damage.
