Customer Review: THIS SAFE IS BADLY MISREPRESENTED AND DEFECTIVE

WE RECEIVED THE X055 BUT IT HAD NO OVERRIDE KEY IN THE PACKAGE. WHEN WE CONTACTED THE COMPANY THEY JUST GAVE US A RUNAROUND.
THERE IS NO REMOVABLE SHELF IN THE SAFE WE GOT ALTHOUGH IT SAYS THERE IS IN THE AD.
WE ALSO TRIED TO CONTACT THE FAMILY THAT OWNS THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE SAFE (JIM & DOUG BRUSH) AT THE PLANT IN ROCHESTER NY, BUT SO FAR NO HELP.
I'D SAVE MY MONEY NEXT TIME AND BUY ANOTHER SAFE.

I am very happy with this small safe. It is much heavier than I anticipated and very well constructed. The interior space is perfect for documents, jewelry or other small valuable items. Highly recommend for household use.

Solid product, enough space, good locking mechanism, nice to be able to bolt it to the floor. At first, door wouldn't pop open after the combination was put in, until I filed a tiny ridge of dried enamel off one spot on the edge of the door. (The door closes very tightly). You could still open it with a good pull, but there's not much to grip on the knob you turn to open it.Customer Review: Nice but too tight for 8.5 x 11 documents

SentrySafe X055 0.5 cu ft. Nice & similar to the 0.7 cu ft model. If you are storing 8.5 x 11 documents and/or folders they won't lie flat, as the locking mechanism takes up a bit of space in front. You might be able to put a small table in to raise the material above the intruding mechanism, but of course that'll reduce the usable space.Customer Review: Good size safe for the money

SentrySafe X055 Security Safe is a good safe to buy for the money. I purchased it for my son's college dorm room and it is the right size to hold money, jewelry, ipod, etc. We had been looking for one with a touchpad so we didn't have to carry a key around all the time. This really exactly fits what we needed.
