Customer Review: So secure even you can't get in!

This worked fine until the batteries died. I thought it was no big deal since I'd used the override keys before without a problem. Unfortunately the override key doesn't always work - I put it in and it turns one quarter turn like it was supposed to, but the lock would not release. After an hour on the phone calling customer service - they had me take a hammer to the locking mechanism and also try to pry it open with a screwdriver - they agreed to send me a new safe if I paid a locksmith to open this one and mailed them the defective one.
On an impulse I tried the override key again rather than call a locksmith, doing everything the same as before, for whatever reason this time it opened. I removed everything valuable to me before replacing the batteries, closing it and locking it again. Here's a shocker - the electronic lock didn't work anymore after customer service had me banging on it with a hammer. The override key also wouldn't reopen it again.
Even if I send this back and got a replacement could I ever trust the new one not to do the same thing? Nope. I wouldn't recoomend this model to anyone.

Electronic Keypad with Override Key
Featuring an electronic lock, the SentrySafe X125 is simple to set up and operate. Once you install four "AA" batteries (not included), you'll be able to program the safe to open using any two-to-eight-digit passcode that you choose. Red, yellow, and green LED lights guide you through the process.
Two override keys that will open the safe without use of the passcode are also included, so you're ensured access to your valuables even if you forget your code or the batteries in the keypad run out.
Dependable, Practical Construction to Guard Your Valuables
The SentrySafe X125 also features a hardened steel lock plate to protect from drill attempts, two solid steel live-locking bolts, a solid steel pry-resistant body, and a solid steel pry-resistant door with concealed hinges. Its heavy-duty design offers both superior protection and years of dependable service.
A removable shelf allows you to stack your precious possessions, keeping them from becoming jumbled and damaged. For additional protection, the X125 has a carpeted floor that will keep your laptop or other delicate items from becoming scratched or damaged.
