Customer Review: Not at all the product I was hoping to recieve.

I get the safe and open it up the box and put in four double A batteries. The first row of buttons did not work. So I cannot enter in the code that came on the paper to use it electronically. Or even change the code.
I was upset that the back of the safe has two holes on each of the back lower corners of the safe. You could fit something bigger than a highlighter into it.
It would be more shipping and handleing to send it back, so I guess I have to live with it. $130 down the drain.

I spent a lot of time researching small safes, and I ordered this one with some hesitation. The safe arrived damaged, with the door hinge bent so badly I could not even get it open without a lot of effort. The construction is cheap and the tolerances are poor. This time I'm going with Mesa Safe Company Model MHRC916E Residential and Hotel Electronic Burglary Safe, Cream.Customer Review: Great household safe

So we ordered it, and the shipping and receiving process went fast and smooth. Although small this is a decent value for the money (just over $100 paid). Once locked, the safe can be opened either by entering use pre-programmed code or by an override key. Using the key sort of defeats the purpose of the security safe but I guess there is no other way to get around batteries discharging. The fact that I was able to buy the product at a reduced rate ($116.00) made it a good value. Sturdy construction, two shelves, just the right size for documents and a couple of pistols. Not fire rated, so don't mistake it for surviving a fire. I would recommend this product.
