This product does clean stainless steel well. As for toilets and showers, it removed the mineral deposits as well as any other toilet or shower cleaner that specifically touts removing mineral deposits. Those products however typically sell for far less money than this item is being sold buy this seller.
The price for liquid Barkeepers friend sold by this company here is far too high and not competitive, in my experience and in my opinion. Barkeepers friend I have found sells for about $2.29 cents at local supermarkets and hardware stores, and many stores sell it for less than $2.00. Not sure why the price is so high here as seeing it sell for so much less elsewhere is annoying, IMO.
Also, after purchasing this product for $8.21 cents about three weeks ago, this company sent me an e-mail asking for feedback about their product and service before I posted a review, so that they could have a chance to correct any complaints because they said they wanted their customer to be satisfied with their purchase.
When I responded with my complaint regarding pricing they simply told me to contact Amazon because it is fulfilled by Amazon. Hence they did not attempt to correct the problem, in any way, they simply tossed it in Amazon's lap.
If you can not find this product elsewhere and really need it, the product does clean stainless steel well. But there are also other products that do that and for far less money.
