Customer Review: Attracts some bugs, not pantry moths

When I received this product, I noticed that some of the coils inside were bent against each other, probably from shipping. This bridged the circuit and created a short circuit which means all it would of done is wasted electricity, doing nothing to a bug if it landed on it. The way it works is a bug has to touch two of the wire coils (which are very thin and close together) to send electricity through the bug and fry it. If two of the coils are touching each other, the electricity just goes straight from coil to coil instead of through a bug that might touch it.
Some of you saying that it doesn't work might want to inspect the coils. If they are landing on it, and the bugs are not getting zapped, then more than likely there is a short circuit somewhere.
I have had moderate success in it attracting bugs. Pantry moths, however, seem to avoid it like the plague which is a shame as it was the main reason I purchased it.
