I have an older Beautyrest latex pillow and it was time to replace it. After checking the local stores and not finding one I went to Amazon. I was hoping for the same pillow but it is not the same. It gives a lot more, I am a side sleeper and want something that will raise my head more while still being soft. I have tried some many pillows. I puchased the memory foam pillows and they actually seem to be too hard, they hurt my ear after a while. I have tried 2 pillows and that is what I am doing but I am still not happy. I wish they would make a higher, softer pillow for side sleepers.Customer Review: Too high

After reading reviews, I decided to try this pillow. I wanted soft, which complaints seemed to indicate this pillow to be. It is somewhat soft, but too high for me to lay flat on my back without having my head cocked up. It's probably a good fit for side sleepers. I finally shaved over an inch off the top to get it low enough to not give me neck problems. Now one side is lumpy, but the pillow is usable. Solid Latex pillows are so hard to find (non locally) that I MIGHT order again when I need to replace it, if I still couldn't find one to actually see and squeeze.Customer Review: Best pillow ever

I've been looking for a soft pillow that provides firm support. I wish I would have bought this one first. It does exactly what I want it to do. I've wasted a lot of money on fancy pillows that don't perform up to my expectations. This pillow is the best. It doesn't fall flat and provides lots of support while still being soft. The only down side is that at first it had a faint smell of latex, but once I washed the cover, the smell was gone. I would recommend this pillow to anyone. Try this pillow before wasting your money on a $300 memory foam pillow that falls flat.Customer Review: OK

I ordered this same pillow same brand at another store 2 years ago. I left mine in a hotel and was hoping to get the same pillow again, but it's not the same as my last one. I think Simmons changed manufacturers because it is very firm. I needed one a little less firm. In fact I ordered another one from another store and it's the exact same way. Very firm. I can't find one by Simmons like I had before. No big loss though. My husband liked it very much and my sister-in-law kept the other one. So if you like firm and springy this is the pillow for you.Customer Review: Too thick....

I really WANT to like this pillow. I like the "springiness" of the latex, and find the support to be excellent. But it's just too thick. My head and neck are being bent upwards, and I am waking up with a sore neck and shoulder. I'm 5'5", perhaps a taller person would find the pillow size to be perfect.
I've been using the pillow for a week, thinking I might get used to it, but woke up again with very sore shoulder and stiff neck. It's quite disappointing, and if I return the pillow, it will cost a lot to ship. So I feel stuck with it.
