Good product. I save money and energy by knowing what is left in the battery. Easy to use and small enought hat it doesn't take much space to store. Works well woth most sets of the popular sizes of betteries you ro would use. I would buy it again knowing what I have experienced with this battery tester. But why is all this stuff always seem to be made in China. I'd pay a bit more pennies if I could fine one made here in the states. C'mon America wake upCustomer Review: Great at first

I had been searching in stores for years for an inexpensive battery tester like this. So you can understand my excitement when I found this one. It was great for the firs 2 months then all of a sudden it just stopped functioning. MAybe I used to much since I had a pile of batteries to check (and it paid for itself considering al the batteries I found useable), but do wish it had lasted a lot longer. Was going to get oen for work, but not now.Customer Review: It works, just not very well

Pros: It's cheap and it does work.
Cons: 1. The meter needle bounces all over the place, like a bouncing ball. It gives a reading but you have to hold the battery and wait 15 seconds or so for the needle to settle.
Cons: 2. The lever for making contact with the battery is awkward and frequently loses contact. Combined with the bouncing needle problem it's very annoying.
Spend a few more bucks and get something better.

This is a great little tool. I had another brand like this one, and wore it out. Nearly every other replacement requires a battery, but not this one. It is compact, works easily and quickly, and as I am old enough to have grown up with analog gauges and dials, I can read it just fine. I am a little worried about the spring that closes the jaw of the tool, but the meter will still function even if it does die, so I'm not too worried.Customer Review: It works!

This is a pretty handy little tester. The only problem I've had with it is that the opening (swinging the arm up) is meant to be done one handed, with the thumb. If you try that you end up shooting it off into the next room. Best to just pop it open with the hand you're holding the battery in and slip the battery in, letting it close automatically.
Other than that it's great. Even the kids use it.
